I hung my work on the generous 30 foot white wall last week and it will be on display for the entire month. The opening of the show is THIS TUESDAY February 9th from 8pm-midnight. If you are in the Halifax area please come out and have a look! The mediums in the show vary – acrylic paintings, prints, ink and watercolor and one embroidery piece.

It is part of Music Nova Scotia’s Open Mic Night that happens every Tuesday where local music is paired with local art. This is my first solo show and I am super excited to see my work up! I just booked this show on Monday so I have lots of things to get organized. I am working on a new print that I am hoping to print in time for the show! If you are from Halifax come check it out!!

This show is running from August 15 – September 6, so if you are in the Toronto area be sure to check it out. Last year they had just short of 1400 pieces in the show and there was a line-up around the block for the opening. This is the seventh year for this show and people seem to really dig it. The Sketchbook Project

As a member of VANS you receive email newsletters with all sorts of programs, listings, events, and one of them was the Sketchbook project by Art House Co-op. Artists can order a moleskin booklet that is registered with a theme that gets mailed to them, fill the book with content related to the theme, mail it back by December 1st and be a part of the show! It costs 21 USD but it will be fun to be involved. Interested? You don’t have to consider yourself an “artist” to participate either so go have a look.
